This year started with a real shift for me. Back in September, I knew I wanted to keep going down this path, cinema. At first, I just wanted to find my place in a demanding industry and pay back my film school, but little by little, it turned into something much deeper.
Today, I do this job above all for the human connections and the moments shared on set. As a 1st AC, I’m lucky to work alongside so many talented cinematographers, some of whom have become close friends. And getting to share shoots with old schoolmates is a real privilege.
Since September, I’ve had the chance to do a bunch of camera tests with rental houses, sometimes even longer than the shoots themselves. Among the first companies to put their trust in me, Panavision and Pleine Image hold a special place. Huge thanks to them for their professionalism and precious support during each prep.
I know this is only the beginning, and I hope the rest will be written surrounded by the people I love.
