Film Frames from 1210 Laurel Way
Inspired by @mccleandesign ’s striking architecture, @vesta designer @ethan.cew approached the staging with the home’s intangible qualities in mind — the movement of light, the presence of nature and the rhythm of space.
Sculptural pieces define the rooms, their silhouettes shifting throughout the day as sunlight moves freely through expanses of glass, creating moments of dappled light and living shadow.
Lounge pockets were intentionally carved into the floor plan, each one oriented toward the view, allowing the architecture and landscape to remain the focal point.
Flowing across both stories, the home’s dramatic two-story water feature connects the levels and softens the experience of the space.

A Mid-Century Mediterranean Dream 🫒 Just listed at $8,5M, 1046 N Norman Place is a Spanish Revival estate in the heart of Brentwood where architecture and interiors unfold in balance between past and present.
For the staging, Vesta designer @ethan.cew leaned into a warm, sculptural approach—layering contemporary pieces with textures that echo the home’s heritage.
The story begins the moment the front door opens. Beneath the sweeping wrought-iron staircase, our Emil table introduces a modern, artistic moment with its sculptural gold base and glass top. Paired with a vintage chair and layered artwork, the entry sets the tone for a home that feels collected rather than decorated.
In the primary suite, the palette deepens into rich browns and soft neutrals. Our Isla velvet bench in chocolate sits at the foot of the bed, while a pair of Tryphena bouclé lounge chairs create an intimate seating corner beside the fireplace.
Even the children’s room carries its own thoughtful narrative. Built-in shelving and a cozy window bed form the perfect reading nook, while playful animal stools and styled bookshelves bring life and imagination into the space.
Throughout the home, Ethan played with varying heights, textures and unique silhouettes, guiding the eye from one curated corner to the next.
And tucked below, a custom wine cellar completes the experience—an intimate space designed for celebrating the kind of evenings this home was made for. And don’t even get us started on the resort-like pool.
