I was really unsure whether or not to sing on this and put it out because even though I wrote it I never intended to sing it because it’s so different to anything I’ve ever released but I’m so glad I did and the reaction over the last week has been insane! I’ve wanted to stay and succeed in a certain lane for so long now but it’s gotten to a point where it’s probably time to start trying new things and I couldn’t be more grateful towards @1milliondance for giving me that chance! Thankfully I’m not in the video because I don’t have a dancing bone in my body but It was so much fun to make and again I’m just really grateful for the opportunity! Missing was the first song I wrote when I moved into my new flat and I wrote it about how I’m still living in the same town I grew up in and although the last year has been amazing, traveling around the world, meeting and working with amazing people, doing what I love the most…. I realised that when I’m back home it sometimes feels like somethings missing and I realised the reason why I was so happy last year was because I was traveling so much (being distracted from my reality back home) and so this song just kinda wrote itself and even though I have had many happy memories of my home town this song steers towards the heartbreak it’s also brought me. Maybe I’ll have the courage to try something new one day and maybe part 2 of the EP will be a little happier 😅
