Stories have the power to bring us closer to each other. Sharing how my research is intertwined with my personal journey—through migration routes, curly hair, and patterned textiles—was deeply meaningful to me. I am grateful for the invitation by @eth4development , who put together this wonderful event titled “Storytelling to Inspire a Sustainable Future”. 💫

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting the SDG Pitch Event: Building a Sustainable Future, together with @eth4development and the @studentprojecthouse .
Students from @ethzurich and our partner @ashesi University presented early-stage innovations tackling some of today’s most urgent Sustainable Development Goals. From enzyme-responsive sensors to exergames, forward-thinking energy solutions, and scientific equipment redistribution, the range of ideas and the impact-oriented mindset were truly impressive.
A big thank you to all teams who pitched:
💡 SensAL
💡 EquipSent
💡 Lumova
💡 Afri- Energy Meter
💡 Elenir
💡 RespCare
💡 The Switch
The jury awarded “The Switch” as the project with the highest potential impact – congratulations! RespCare won the audience choice award.
We concluded the evening with an inspiring talk by Leonie Korn from UpLeap and continued our discussions during the apéro.
Special thanks to our moderators, Churchill Agutu and Salome Räuschel, for guiding us through the event, and to everyone who joined us!
🌍 Join us for the SDG Pitch Event at the ETH Student Project House on November 13! 🌍
Get inspired! You’ll hear pitches from students at @ethzurich and Ashesi University in Ghana, all of which propose early-stage, innovative solutions for tackling the sustainable development goals. Afterwards, you’ll have a chance to chat with the pitchers at the apéro.
Register now and help us vote for the best pitch!

Die Antwort lautet: ETH for Development (#ETH4D).
