She believed she could, so she did… in 3 years baby!!!! 🎓 People ask me how I am “so ahead”—oh boy have I been plotting for this timeline since freshman year of high school when I was inducted into the International Baccalaureate program—the truth is I am not ahead. Everyone has their own timeline and part of success comes from having the courage to stay true to your journey.

Nine years ago, I drew these shoes. Today, I dance in them. 🩰
I drew this image exactly nine years ago. It was my first art project as a freshman in high school. My teacher prompted us to put our name inside a graphic composition that reflected our passions. Naturally, mine was dance. Fourteen-year-old me found an image of pointe shoes online and freehanded it, writing my name inside. I colored them red because red has always been my favorite color to wear (I’ve never really been a pink girl).
Fast-forward to today, and I have the privilege of performing for the last time in my red pointe shoes on the Celebration. The connection feels seamless, as if the universe aligned this moment perfectly. It makes me wonder—what connections will I draw a decade from now? (Pun not intended.) That’s when it hit me: some of life’s greatest gifts are unimaginable. Dancing this track for the past seven months with this cast has meant more to me than I ever thought possible.
