Folktale is my dialogue with heritage. With this collection I reimagine the forgotten culture of eastern Germany not as a symbol of burden, but as a mythical realm. To remind myself that origin can be complex and yet powerful.

This photoshoot is an homage to the creation process. The fashion world is gathering speed with each passing day. In an environment where overconsuption and the loss of quality and thought dominates the industry I wanted to slow down. To capture the beauty of the inbetween steps, the prototypes, the raw hems, the unfinished waistbands. To highlight the human touch that goes into the realisation of clothes. Giving an intimate glimpse into a world that is usually reserved for the conceptor only.
