Hi, I’m Emma! An observant creative with an eye for all things orderly and artistic. I am a maker of brands, websites, marketing magic, illustrations, animations, and anything with paper or clay.
Day-to-day, you can find me curating and building intuitively authentic, strategy-led visual identities and websites for brands and running my online shop @estormpaperie selling (hand)made-to-order cards and clay items.
A lover of all things unseen, I am a self-taught astrologer, certified yoga teacher, avid runner, and am smitten with architectural history, one-of-a-kind finds and trinkets, and watercolors (simply unable to resist the sketchy, watery strokes of the medium).
Self-taught in design, I believe it is a privilege to teach yourself the tools and skills you need to become your own artist and find a soul purpose in your work.

@orangetreesweds visual system draws from a 70s-inspired, editorial direction where retro references meet a modern, timeless approach. To bring in that sense of nostalgia, we paired the identity with a warm, bright color palette that adds depth, energy, and a strong sense of recognition across every touchpoint.
The result is branding that feels elevated but still easy and approachable for something distinctive and full of personality. 🍊

Orange Tree Weddings is a full-blown love affair with color, creativity, and making your day stand out. Janie works with people in love to turn their ideas into unforgettable celebrations that are bold, considered, and one-of-a-kind. This energy shaped the entire direction of how we co-authored the new website and branding.
✨ The new identity is a 70’s infused, retro-meets-modern visual system paired with a warm, expressive palette to create something elevated but still approachable. We designed this to showcase the work, not compete with it.
✨ On the website, we focused on clear navigation to make it easy to understand what Orange Tree Weddings offers, while still capturing the personality behind it. It reflects a process rooted in uncovering what lights couples up and translating it into a seamless, elevated day that feels entirely their own.
✨ The result is a brand and website that feels aligned, distinctive, and built for all its become.

January is the deep breath upon arrival. She is the wind blowing through bare trees reminding us there is so much happening below the surface even when things seem dormant. January reminds us we can take action and go slow at the same time. She says achieving our wildest dreams can come through taking our time and resting often. January is the winks of life reminding you there’s more to come and you’re free to be still as it arrives. It’s the permission to not keep pushing the boulder up the hill, but allow life to arrive right as it’s meant to. January is the radical acceptance we may begin again, but that does not mean we forget the wisdom we have gained. She’s the blank slate of a new level ready to be stepped onto like a stage. January is the first step we take.

I’ve never been fond of following a set of rules when it comes to logo design. While it needs to exist in a unified matter and function across multiple use cases, as opposed to takedowns of one main mark, I instead ask how can I infuse various elements and points of interaction from the brand throughout each logo to add to the ecosystem as a whole?
