āMatthew 11:28
Come to me, all you that labour and are over-burdened, and I will give you rest.ā
This verse was my motor for the past seven years.
Seven years.
A five-year course.
Petroleum and Gas Engineering at the University of Lagos.
I finally did it. I graduated. šāØ
While chasing this degree, I was also building a fashion brand from scratch. Balancing lectures with fittings, exams with runway shows, and deadlines with creativity. Growing as a designer while growing academically was beautiful, but it was also heavy. There were moments it affected my health, moments I felt completely drained, moments I questioned everything.
But I kept showing up.
To my clients who stayed, even when I was inconsistent, even when I went quiet just trying to survive school, thank you for believing in my vision and my gift. Your support carried me through more than you know.
To my friends who checked on me, prayed with me, laughed with me, and never let me walk this journey alone, thank you. You were my strength on the hard days.
To my family, thank you for your patience, prayers, and unwavering support.
And to everyone who has asked me for seven years,
āEsther when would you finish this degree?ā
I don finish ooo ššš½
This chapter taught me resilience, discipline, and faith. Proof that dreams can grow side by side, even when the journey is longer than planned.
