In the beginning of the month I had the pleasure of working on Nvision Latino Film and Music Festival. I had the incredible opportunity to learn and be surrounded by Latino artists/entrepreneurs that are actively fighting for diversity & inclusion and supporting the new generation of artists. 7 years ago I moved to the US and started learning English and theatre. 6 years ago I performed Shakespeare for the first time in a class. The language seemed impossible, I hated it and the idea of performing Shakespeare would put me in a panic attack. 3 years ago I started my BFA MT program. This year I learned Shakespeare and performed it with confidence for the first time. Never in a million years I thought that I would be able to understand and be able to perform Shakespeare. I struggled a lot learning English, I hated Shakespeare because I believed I would never understand it. This year, with the help of incredible peers, TAs and Valerie I fulfilled a secret dream of mine. To think 7 years ago I was crying myself to sleep because I couldn’t communicate due to language barrier, and now watching me perform a soliloquy with so much confidence is such a break through and an impossible dream being fulfilled. I couldn’t do it without this wonderful people who supported me all the way. After 12 credits of Shakespeare this year, I have “mastered” a language that many native English speakers can’t understand. I’m now part of the Latine Shakespeare trained actors and immigrants Shakespeare trained actors. You don’t see it often unfortunately, but being part of this amazing group is one of my greatest achievements. Shout for Phoenix for being my rehearsal buddy! I bet @pascalispunk would be proud of me being the newer addition to Latine Shakespeare trained actors. And thank you my Shakeys, for everything ❤️

2022 was definitely one of the craziest year of my life. I performed in my 2nd PTC show “ Love and Information”. Got to perform in a Native Language after YEARS and had @emmanuellaaa_ surprise me by coming to the show, and the support of @conlimonpro ( @amymarik @itsdannymarin ) in the audience ❤️ I worked at graduation due to being an RA and it got me so excited wondering how much I would change by the time of my graduation. Went to @54below for the 1st time with Con Limón Productions as we worked on the table read for Siren. Had my golden Birthday, turned 21, and got to celebrate with @saratvianna and her wonderful friends at Bridgeton Experience. Had my first big girl/sisters trip to Dominican Republic and LA. I saw my first show at 54 Below and it was one I was part of the production team. Made me realize how far I’ve come. It’s crazy to think my first show at 54 Below, where I dreamed to visit, was one I helped produce. Got my first apartment in NY with the best roommates @blakebuhler , Quinn, and my bb Fifi. Had a wonderful semester at LIU, got closer to some friends, create new ones, worked as an ASM in PTC’s Cabaret with a wonderful cast and crew, left a toxic job and started working at Tilles Center with many of my friends, got my first tattoo with my sister. My best semester so far and my mental health and self-confidence has never been better. Thank you for everyone who was part of it! Shout to my family, @isabelle.sarahh for rant nights and impromptu hang outs, Quinn @blakebuhler for being the best roommates a girl can have, @maddyapp @suzie.gloves @originxl.lucas @kat.mot @jessoneillll Sarabeth @noahkess_lur @williamjahn_v @leavargass @julianeschenker @rebecca.lynn.goldfarb for bringing me to this crazy wonderful group, @jillian.sajda and the cast of cabaret for being like a family ( specially miss @ellakatherineschnoor who I was so lucky to grow closer to). I said goodbye to all negative things which I’m leaving back in 2022. Had an awesome end to my 2022 and I just can’t wait to see what 2023 has to offer me. ( keep an eye for upcoming announcements 👀) New year, new adventures ❤️

First Friendsgiving where I was able to cook with my friends and it’s was Fifi’s first Thanksgiving. Also Brazil won 2x0 today on their game( yes Fifi and I have matching Jerseys) Thankful for this friend group I fell in: @blakebuhler @maddyapp Quinn ( there are more people but those who were here today ) Happy Thanksgiving y’all 💜
