Estonia was one of the first countries to start rebuilding Ukraine to give hope to the Ukrainian people.
Supporting Ukraine is a priority for ESTDEV, with approximately 75% of the development cooperation budget going to Ukraine.
We will stand by Ukraine until the victorious end of the war. Together, we will create a better tomorrow!

Andrea Kivi takes on the role of ESTDEV’s Executive Director 👏
🔹“We have built a strong foundation for the organisation in recent years. My role is to ensure that ESTDEV’s focus remains clear, the organisation is internally stable and Estonia’s position in the field of international development is consistently strengthened,” said Andrea Kivi.
Kivi has worked at ESTDEV since 2022, first as a lawyer and then for the past two years as Head of Operations. Last year, she was awarded the Order of Merit, Second Class by the @mfaestonia for promoting international cooperation of importance to Estonia and successfully conducting the European Commission's pillar assessment process for ESTDEV.

Kui suures ulatuses ja milliste projektidega #ESTDEV Ukrainat toetab?
ESTDEVi Euroopa regiooni- ja Ukraina ülesehituse juht Margus Gering avas Kuku “Välismäärajale” antud intervjuus tausta, kuidas Eesti arengukoostöö praktiline rakendamine toimib ja kui kasulik see on Eesti majandusele.
“Arengukoostöö ei ole kindlasti kulu Eesti riigile, vaid see on võimalus tuua Eestisse ja meie partnerriikidesse rohkem välisvahendeid. Rusikareegel on see, et iga miljon, mis ESTDEV täna oma projektidesse ära toob, laekub sellest ligi 300 000 maksutulu Eesti riigikassasse,” rääkis Gering.
Lisaks tuli juttu eelmisel nädalal avatud ESTDEVi sotsiaalse taristu projektidest Žõtomõris ja Ovrutšis ning Ukraina rahva meeleseisundist sõja neljanda aasta peatsel täitumisel.

Hobby education in Ukraine resembles Estonia’s 30 years ago – it's functional but needs substantial modernisation. Last year, ESTDEV and the city of Malyn begun collaborating on a modern, sustainable hobby education system that can eventually be implemented by local governments across Ukraine. 🇺🇦
🤝 In addition to the two-year curriculum renewal project, Estonia is also financing the renovation of the premises of the Malyn Hobby School. With Estonia’s support, systemic changes can be made to ensure young people have access to a variety of high-quality learning opportunities 📚

The Nairobi Circular Design Hub is a unique project which brings Estonia's circular design know-how to Kenya 🇰🇪🤝🇪🇪

In May, the Tallinn Mechanism Project Office (TMPO) was officially opened in Kyiv 🇺🇦

🌐 The Tallinn Mechanism was established in 2023 in Tallinn to coordinate international support for strengthening Ukraine's cybersecurity and cyber resilience. For 🇪🇪, this initiative is not only about cyber assistance, it’s also about building a strong digital coalition around Ukraine.

🇲🇩 🤝 🇪🇺 🇪🇪 🇳🇱 Last summer, Estonia, the Netherlands, EU and Moldova launched a new EU initiative with the aim to align Moldova’s agri-food public financing system with EU standards and to help make agricultural support faster, fairer, and paper-free.
