The action toward change begins with the collective effort we put forward. As we witness the rise of GBV in the 21st century, the convenience of technology has also become a convenience for hate. We see increasing alienation within our communities and societies, often leading to mistrust among one another and a growing fear of speaking out against injustice.
Today, as we commemorate the 16 Days of Activism, In collaboration with @yikhono , we watched a documentary that revealed the tragedy that unfolds when we remain silent and the tragedy that unfolds when we fail to take action.
“You can’t ignore the army of voices.”
A quote taken from the documentary('Audrie & Daisy')
Thank you to all the people that joined us and took part in the discussion we've had.

"The existence of these paintings and their imperfections reflect where I am in life right now, squeezing minutes from the clock as one squeezes the last drops of sweetness from their last lemon. Becoming a mother has brought a new artistic awakening, and has begun to heal the holes within my spirit. That transformation is what has brought forth these paintings. These paintings are a documentation of the most impactful, painful, transformative, loving, and fleeting time in my life.. And what does an artist do during a time like that? SHE PAINTS"
@tesfayetra
A quote by Gorky comes to mind: “Without a mother, there is no poet, nor a hero. All the pride of the world comes from mothers.”
As we trace the raw and intimate journey of motherhood, we witness its profound role in art; How it opens the heart to empathy and reveals the life of another in its most vulnerable and transformative form. It offers a glimpse into the lives of mothers as they navigate the creation of life itself, and all that follows.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this meaningful exhibition, and most of all, thank you to Gabby for courageously sharing this beautiful journey with us.
