The art of human connection is beautiful. Collaboration often brings great results. We all have been a part of this amazing collaborative cycle since birth. It takes a village to raise a child and an open mind to fully receive those lessons from each human we interact with. You’re never truly alone in this thing called life. ❤️

You always brought joy into the room. There’s no way I can tell a Kara, KB, or KareBear story without smiling ear to ear. You were one of the most supportive people I know. You were genuine and authentic. You brought people together. You brought people along. Most importantly, you were loving. Your love was bold. It was bright. It was inspiring. Yes, you’ve broken records. You’ve probably broken a couple necks on a screen or two. This time, in your current form, you’ve broken all of our hearts. 😔
We lost a mother, sister, friend, and a giant in our community. Although you’re no longer here, you will forever and always be in all of our hearts. Rest well, Queen. There’s no way we’ll ever forget your presence. Love you to the moon and back, 4 5.

As a graduate of Martin Luther King Jr School PS30 and Rosa L Parks School of Fine & Performing Arts HS in Paterson, NJ, it was an honor to meet @berniceaking . My grandparents ensured there were a set of values that would be instilled in me before I picked up a basketball or pressed a piano key that serve as a guiding light. As I continued to grow, somehow reminders and confirmations would always find their way to me. Whether it’s meeting in unlikely settings- arena locker rooms- or having the task of digitizing and recirculating Dr. King’s Grammy Winning speech on Motown + Black Forum Records, “Why I Oppose The War in Vietnam”, you begin to realize that you will never outrun your purpose or anything that has been intended for you and your growth.
I continue to welcome what is meant for me while reminding you to lead with Love and not sit idly by. Thank you @berniceaking for continuing to use your voice not only for a family legacy, but as a constant reminder of the world we live in and a world we wish to be. 🙏🏿

2025 Pt 2. 🙏🏿☮️✨ Be solid, be the calm and the life, be sure, be bright, be unbothered, be true, and be in touch. I would say be delusional, but some of you take that too far 😂🙃. Most importantly, be YOU. More collaboration, guidance, creativity, leadership, and glass ceilings shattered being shared all 2026 and beyond ❤️.
