Daniel MacPherson (@danmacpherson ) held nothing back when it came to preparing for the physical demands of the role in his new film, ‘Beast’. He spent weeks in Thailand training alongside semi-professional fighters, keeping pace with their routines and expectations. “I’ll never forget the first time I got properly choked out,” he says, recalling how quickly the physical reality of the sport set in. The role also arrived during a period of significant change in his personal life, which informed his portrayal of a man working through pressure, identity and responsibility. ‘Beast’ is in cinemas from April 23. Daniel MacPherson (@danmacpherson ) has come a long way from that Cronulla school kid who found himself sidelined from triathlon and unexpectedly pulled into acting after a chance meeting with a talent scout. He never followed it up, but weeks later, the opportunity returned and he decided to give it a go. That moment set the direction for a career that has since unfolded across Australia, the UK and the US. Now 45, he brings that experience to what might be his most demanding role yet, ‘Beast’, and the one that could also bring the most reward. “I feel like ‘Beast’ is the culmination of 27 years of lessons,” he tells Esquire. From early success in Australia to the realities of starting over in Los Angeles, MacPherson has weathered everything the industry has thrown at him, refining his approach and committing fully to the work at hand. Head to the website to read our full interview with MacPherson. ‘Beast’ hits cinemas on 23 April. #DanielMacPherson wears #IWCSChaffhausen timepiece, #PJohnson and #RMWilliams clothing. Better known for his chunkier, utilitarian knitwear and rugged tailoring Christian Kimber (@christian_kimber ) pivoted hard into warm weather dressing for his Resort 2027 collection shown at #AustralianFashionWeek. The Melbourne-based designer had been inspired by a recent family holiday to the Greek island of Paros, the sentiment was obvious right from the first look. A popover linen shirt, trousers with a chore jacket, all in the same vivid azure that is so emblematic of the region. This particular hue would be repeated, along with varying whites and sea (and arguably olive) greens. You could feel the landscape of Kimber’s holiday through the clothes. Just as you could easily imagine the sea breeze billows below the lightness of the fabrics. “I do think this collection is the last piece of the puzzle,” Kimber told Esquire after the show. Over the years, #AudemarsPiguet has released collaboration designs with movie stars, musicians, and other brands over the years; their latest collab with Swatch, the “Royal Pop” will be revolutionary, for sure, but it’s part of a long history. We looked back over some of the Swiss watchmaker’s collaborations, with the likes of #JayZ and #LeBronJames, and picked six of their best. Follow the link in our stories to see the full list.

Joe Farage, founder of @farageaustralia , has a key directive: make his clients look good. Trend always comes second. That is what makes the difference between someone who has great style and someone who is simply “fashionable”. His new collection shown at #AustralianFashionWeek was a dialogue on how the #suit, the stalwart of menswear that he has been refining for more than a quarter of a century like an alchemist turning iron into gold, remains tireless in its potential. Tequila has become incredibly popular over the past few years. There are a ridiculous amount of brands out there to choose from. Yes, some of them have celebrity names attached. No, that doesn’t mean they’re any good. But there are some #tequila brands that are certainly worth paying attention to. To curate the list, we focused on tequila made using traditional methods and, to the best of our knowledge, eschew additives. Follow the link in our stories to see 8 of the best tequilas to try in 2026.

After weeks of cryptic adverts, countdowns and feverish online speculation, @swatch has finally revealed the product at the centre of one of the most talked-about watch launches of the year: the #AudemarsPiguet x #Swatch “Royal Pop”. And yes, it’s every bit as strange as people hoped. Follow the link in the stories to read more about what might be the most hyped collab of the year thus far.

You have to hand it to hand it to Richard and Emma Jarman of @commas – they’re committed to the bit. Their pair held their first runway show in four years on the sands of Tamarama Beach and, rain or shine, the show does go on. Not even a wayward local inadvertently joining the train of models down the nearby stairs, or sudden drenching rain, could dampen the pleasure of seeing one of this week’s most considered collections of #AustralianFashionWeek. The DNA of Commas has always been an idyllic sense of leisure, where clothes tend to cocoon the body in soft billowy layers as opposed to more formal tailoring’s encasing armour. The philosophy has been honed to such a fine point that @richardjarman seems able to effortlessly apply this aesthetic to every kind of clothing. It’s finally happened. ‘Terminator’ star, #ArnoldSchwarzenegger has been knocked off the top of the world’s richest actors list. It’s no secret that acting can be lucrative, but it’s often off the screen where many of Hollywood’s greats have been cashing in with endorsements and various brand deals. Megawatt stars like #TomCruise and #DwayneJohnson could quit working today and still be making enough from their side hustle to get by. And while they’ve all reamined in the top 10 of their industry’s wealthiest, many have dropped rank from the sudden catapulting of one actor into number one. Follow the link in the stories to find out who is now the world’s richest actor.

There are certain items of clothing that become permanently attached to the men who wore them. Actor #SteveMcQueen had the Baracuta G9. Basketball legend #MichaelJordan had the Air Jordan 1. And #DanielCraig, in his debut outing as #JamesBond in Casino Royale, had a dark navy @sunspelclothing polo shirt that managed to make knitwear look vaguely dangerous. Now, the polo is back. The music of Australian soul musician Don West (@donwestmusic ) belongs firmly in the atmosphere of dim lighting, velvet textures, martinis and old fashioneds in the surrounds. It is, as West tells it, a smooth sensory experience. “Don’t you know ‘smooth’ is my middle name, Esquire?” To celebrate the arrival of the all-new 2026 Honda CR-V, Honda Australia transformed LB’s Record Bar (@lbsrecordbar )into the ‘Listening Lounge’, a carefully curated space designed to give smoothness a physical presence and West was the night’s centrepiece. “I felt like I stepped into a little record bar in New York or a hazy little joint in Tokyo,” West told Esquire after the night’s proceedings. “Everything was intentional. The martinis were not too shabby either.” Follow the link in the bio to read the full interview with Don West and what it means to experience life on the smoother scale.
