Spending time with them reminded me of something. What stayed with me wasn’t the idea of family photos. It was the small world unfolding inside their home. Watching the girls run around, with their parents right there in the middle of it all, made me think about how different childhood feels. When you’re young, the world somehow feels both big and safe at the same time. Worries pass quickly, laughter comes easily, and you move through the day without overthinking it.
It’s a kind of freedom we sometimes forget as we grow older.
