Battle of the Books Semi-Finals at QBS!
Yesterday, QBS was buzzing with literary excitement as we hosted the semi-finals of the Battle of the Books Hong Kong competition! It was a pleasure to welcome teams, coaches, and parents from five different schools to our campus for an intense morning of high-energy competition!
Across 15 exciting rounds of gruelling questions, every school displayed fantastic teamwork, detailed book knowledge and a wonderful school spirit!
We are incredibly proud to announce that the QBS team won our group's semi-finals! Our students' hard work and dedication to their reading lists have truly paid off, and we are officially moving on to the Finals in two weeks!
Beyond the competition, it was a wonderful celebration of a shared love for reading, communication skills, and our vibrant school community. Huge thanks to everyone who cheered our readers on.

This week, our community was treated to two spectacular nights of music, and we couldn’t be prouder. From the soaring voices of our Primary Choirs to the incredible precision of the Orchestra, it was a masterclass in musicality.

Our Year 1 students took to the stage this morning, treating us all to a truly enchanting production of Jack and the Beanstalk. From brave Jacks to very persuasive cows, the performance was nothing short of magical!
It was a joy to see every child shining with such happiness and confidence under the spotlight. This performance wasn't just about the applause; it was a wonderful culmination of their hard work during the current Unit of Inquiry "How We Express Ourselves."

Today, our hall came alive for QBS~My Language Day! Led by 40+ dedicated Student Cultural Ambassadors and our international staff, this colourful event was a resounding success.
Beyond the vibrant displays and languages, today was a celebration of our identity as a racially friendly campus. By exploring one another's heritages, our students didn't just learn about traditions—they strengthened the bonds of respect and inclusion that define our school.
It was a wonderful day of mutual discovery and a true reflection of the global citizenship we live every day.

A group of Year 5 students took the initiative to design a "Wellbeing Blind Box" for the adults! A mystery treat + a mental health boost = the best way to spend a day.

Our Year 6 students took a giant leap into the future this week! As part of their How We Organise Ourselves unit of inquiry, students and parents teamed up to play the Global Goals Game.
This immersive card-based simulation transported our learners to the year 2030, challenging them to navigate the "real world" and meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). From ending poverty to protecting our planet, the stakes couldn't have been higher!
A huge thank you to the parents who joined us in this mission. Together, we’re making sure we leave a better planet than we found it!
