When I started the OneDay project nearly 8 years ago I set one goal. It was to capture 24 hours of daylight of a cloudless arctic sky. It took a while. This is my white whale. 86,400 images, 0 clouds.
Today is opening night for Time and Place. Excited to be showing alongside the talented @blakeaaseby

This image represents a new approach. It depicts 24 hours not with square “pixels” but with vertical stripes. For this execution, an image was taken every five minutes for 24 hours in Reine, Norway, where the sun does not set from the end of May until mid July.

Time and Place is a two person exhibition with @blakeaaseby . Excited about this show. Opening is this Thursday, March 5 from 6-8pm.
Titanium Dioxide is whiter than almost anything else found in the world. It is utilized industrially in many ways. Its use as a food additive is actually among it’s least common uses. The EU banned its use as a food additive in 2022 due to concerns about the risk of its nanoparticles and their potential to cause damage to our DNA. It now looks like it’s on the way out in the US as well. You probably haven’t noticed but your Skittles may not be quite as bright as they used to be. Read more about it in our book
