We both discovered Philipp Otterbach in late 2020. His debut album “Everything Else Matters” on @riolabel_com got us hooked for months, becoming our undisputed pandemic-era touchstone — we even secured two vinyl copies just in case. Over the years, he has released two more LP’s that further extended his trademark sound-collage production style, oscillating between a plethora of emotions: hopeful bliss, bittersweet melancholy, murky unease.
Philipp adapts this sensibility into his deejaying by creating adventurously psychedelic sets that feel less like mixes and more like cryptic narratives. This should come as no surprise since he is actually one of the first residents of Düsseldorf’s cult institution Salon des Amateurs.
His Escape Route podcast is a fitting farewell to a very strange year. Equal parts disorienting and cathartic, it’s a winding story that already feels essential to our humble platform.

Ciao, the ER podcast is (hopefully) back.
On this episode we welcome The Slow Brown Fox — a Berlin-based artist and curator specialising in genre-fluid, exploratory sound practices. Stefanie is the force behind Psychedelic Meltdown, the noteworthy event and mix series devoted to the unusual, held at Sameheads, Berlin and Mutant Radio.
Her sets move through mystical landscapes with unexpected textures, weaving together Psychedelic Electronica, Kraut, K-Jazz, Dubstep and whatnot into mind-altering sonic journeys.
This is a live recording from her set at BEEK, Hamburg earlier this year. A full-length trip unfolding patiently, shifting between cinematic depth and wonky grooves.

☄️ NVST at Club Pave - 13.03
Coming from a short family hiatus - J-Lost and Stefan Alexandrov (Escape Route)’s comeback to the scene is coming with full force, inviting one of the most interesting acts in Europe's electronic music world to Pave.
NVST is a Swiss DJ and producer from Lausanne known for her raw, high-energy sets blending techno, breakbeats, acid, and industrial. Inspired by the free party movement, she delivers a bold, genre-defying sound.
A regular at leading festivals and clubs such as Dekmantel, ADE, Tresor, and Zhao Dai, her Boiler Room and Dekmantel Amsterdam appearances helped cement her global reputation. Alongside DJing, she performs live with Drift Institute and Sixsixsevenfortyseven.
With six solo albums and releases on labels including Fabric, Tresor, and Dekmantel, NVST continues to push boundaries — also co-directing the Big Science sound lab and hosting radio residencies across Europe.

The head honcho of ДРОБ, label manager, DJ, producer, and all-around charmer—Garo is a man of many talents. Based in Berlin, yet deeply rooted in Sofia’s soundscape, he has been a key figure in shaping the scene since the early days. Luckily for us, he has also embraced the role of a good friend and constant supporter throughout our own musical journeys.
Notorious for his vast vinyl collection, Garo never arrives without a bag stacked with old school gems, obscure house bangers, and the kind of oddities only he can unearth. He thrives on surprising the dance floor and spreading his unmatched aura wherever he plays.
In his Escape Route podcast, Garo reveals a rarely seen side of himself—one that is both intriguing and soothing. The perfect soundtrack for after-hours floor explorations into the void, but also serving well as a Monday blues remedy.

We fancy an occasional pinch of symbolism, so welcoming one of Bulgaria’s leading female artists this month is no coincidence at all.
Laylla Dane emerged from the blooming rave culture in the early 2000s, devoting herself to the dance floor and proving that dedication paves the path to recognition, no matter where you come from. Two decades later, fans and peers all across Europe respect her flawless mixing, well-crafted sets, and “quality over quantity” commitment.
As Laylla joins our podcast series, she not only aligns with our ethos but also unveils her most adventurous self. The mix begins as a bold observation of the melancholically peculiar corners of her collection. However, instead of digging further into the subconscious, she spares the troubled minds by throwing the listener to the floor and lifting the spirits naturally till the end as she finishes off with a dance.
This is Laylla Dane in her wildest, enjoy! (link in bio)
