Escalate’s “The Cry of Nature” is built around the same ideas the band have been pushing from the start: animal liberation, resistance to speciesism, and anger at a world that treats living beings as things to be used up.
Laszlo Meszaros says the EP comes from “the hopeless rage” that builds when you spend years seeing people fully understand the violence around them and still accept it as normal.
He ties slaughterhouses, war, and “technological arrogance” into the same pattern, where “everything that breathes exists to be conquered, dissected, consumed, or erased.” That’s the core of this track too.

@escalatexvx is a vegan, straight-edge hardcore band from Veszprém, Hungary. Formed in 2020 as the first fully vegan, straight-edge band in their country, they use hardcore as a weapon to confront speciesism, oppression, and complacency. After releasing their debut full-length, Consequences, on New Age Records, ESCALATE took their message to the streets, touring extensively across Europe and playing shows throughout most of the continent. Every show reinforcestheir commitment to veganism, straight edge, and uncompromising D.I.Y. ethics. Rooted in the tradition of militant, ’90s XVX hardcore and delivered with a modern, aggressive sound, ESCALATE’s music is direct, confrontational, and unapologetic.
Their upcoming five-song EP, The Cry of Nature, pushes thatmessage further: louder, heavier, and more focused than ever. PREORDER the limited Cloudy Clear And Green Split With Black Splatter 12" and the limited Glow In The Dark WIth Black Swirl 12" NOW at coretexrecords.com

When cruelty becomes the law, vengeance stops being a threat and starts reflecting back the horrors that were normalized.
The war you unleashed on the defenseless will not stay silent forever, every buried body writes an indictment that time cannot erase.
The suffering you inflicted, has teeth now, and it bites back with the fury of lives that were never allowed mercy.

Man turned the sky into a funeral veil, forcing life to choke quietly so comfort could remain clean.
From cage to mass grave, suffering is engineered, hidden, until blood becomes the only language left that cannot be ignored.
If fate was chosen through indifference, then redemption can only come through sacrifice, giving everything so something innocent may finally live.

1080 is Leviathan’s hand in the forest, a quiet poison dropped from above to correct a world that refuses to behave like a machine. It turns living systems into management problems, replacing relationship and humility with control, calculation, and collateral death. Nature is not sick and waiting for our cure, our need to dominate it is the real toxin, and it spreads wherever we mistake power for care.

History is the story Leviathan tells to make its domination feel inevitable; his-story marches forward on the bones of erased peoples and stolen worlds. Against it stands the human refusal to be controlled, the memory of life before empires, when communities made meaning without masters. To remember that is already an act of rebellion, because Leviathan survives only as long as we forget that it was built, and can be unbuilt.
