We return to 𝗜𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻, part of 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘅 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, which took place on March 5th at the 𝘔𝘪𝘩𝘢𝘪 𝘌𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘶 Central University Library of Iași, exploring a sonic universe of contrasts. The third day of 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘅 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 continued with 𝗥𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘀𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Taking place on March 3rd at the 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘊𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘊𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘦 𝘐𝘢ș𝘪, the concert explored mythology through a contemporary lens. ESBJERG ENSEMBLE 29/4 19.00 @ Högskolan för scen och musik Den professionella konstmusikensemblen är en relativt ny företeelse i Norden, som fick fäste först under efterkrigstidens ekonomiska blomstring. I Sverige har ett fåtal grupper som Stockholms Saxonfonkvartett (grundad 1969) och Kroumata (1978) burit en häpnadsväckande stor del av den nutida musiken på sina axlar. Även Danmark har en sådan arbetshäst: utan Esbjerg Ensemble skulle vårt grannlands musikhistoria inte ha varit sig lik. Sedan starten 1967 har ensemblen stått som outtröttliga förkämpar för kammarmusikens värde, och har bidragit till att lyfta inhemska namn som Per Nørgård och Bent Sørensen. Trots fokuset på det danska är detta en i högsta grad internationell ensemble, med musiker från hela Europa. Deras repertoar innefattar hela den klassiska musikhistorien, men en särskild tonvikt läggs vid nutid och framtid: ensemblens årliga samarbete med kompositionsstudenter är en institution i danskt musikliv, och även vid denna konsert framförs verk av såväl studenter som etablerade tonsättare. 🔥𝐏𝐞𝐫 𝐍ø𝐫𝐠å𝐫𝐝 – 𝗜 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐄𝐬𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐫𝐠 𝐄𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐞🔥 On 12 March, percussionist Christian Martinez from Esbjerg Ensemble performs "Fire over Water" from Per Nørgård’s legendary percussion work I Ching 😎 Written in 1982 for percussionist Gert Mortensen, I Ching draws inspiration from the ancient Chinese oracle book of the same name. 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐱 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 :: 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 Young musicians from 𝘙𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘢 and the 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘰𝘧 𝘔𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘰𝘷𝘢 are working alongside international artists and professors in intensive sessions focused on technique, repertoire and artistic exchange.
