ESBJERG ENSEMBLE 29/4 19.00 @ Hรถgskolan fรถr scen och musik Den professionella konstmusikensemblen รคr en relativt ny fรถreteelse i Norden, som fick fรคste fรถrst under efterkrigstidens ekonomiska blomstring. I Sverige har ett fรฅtal grupper som Stockholms Saxonfonkvartett (grundad 1969) och Kroumata (1978) burit en hรคpnadsvรคckande stor del av den nutida musiken pรฅ sina axlar. ร„ven Danmark har en sรฅdan arbetshรคst: utan Esbjerg Ensemble skulle vรฅrt grannlands musikhistoria inte ha varit sig lik. Sedan starten 1967 har ensemblen stรฅtt som outtrรถttliga fรถrkรคmpar fรถr kammarmusikens vรคrde, och har bidragit till att lyfta inhemska namn som Per Nรธrgรฅrd och Bent Sรธrensen. Trots fokuset pรฅ det danska รคr detta en i hรถgsta grad internationell ensemble, med musiker frรฅn hela Europa. Deras repertoar innefattar hela den klassiska musikhistorien, men en sรคrskild tonvikt lรคggs vid nutid och framtid: ensemblens รฅrliga samarbete med kompositionsstudenter รคr en institution i danskt musikliv, och รคven vid denna konsert framfรถrs verk av sรฅvรคl studenter som etablerade tonsรคttare.
