The first time someone asked me how much a painting of mine costed I had never even thought about the possibility that someone would ever want to buy my pieces. I had no clue what to answer. Little did I know that from then on I would start selling illustrations and paintings and that this would become my main job in the near future. At that time I had just come back from studying in Rome and was working in a publicity and marketing agency in Mexico City. After one year working there I resigned and did the jump into the void of being a full time artist. That was in 2007. Now, almost 20 years later I still get very emotional when someone asks me for a comission. It is an honour to be part of people’s life’s through my art, and I never give it for granted. Thank you Doris for believing in my art 🙏🏽
