Today I wanted to show you my first photoshoot taken with my new camera (Canon RP).
Not gonna lie - at first I had some troubles with the focus and since I still use my old lens, the change is not that visible but the workflow was so much better. Taking self-portraits is now so much faster and easier.

"Hunting for birds"
Self-portrait with my favourite kind of tree - mountain ash.

It's know for it's strenght and magic properties. It's also called a "witches tree" because if you plant it in front of your house, the witches will be gone forever.
From Latin to polish it's name can be translated as "Hunting for birds" because many kinds of birds are atracted to it's red fruits

Even tho it's not scary as my recent photos, I still had to put a dark twist to it with the crown and a black dress.
It's the same dress I sew a while ago just put it on backwards and glued it to myself so it won't slip off.

"Wreaths in the Wind"

Stado is an old pagan Slavic spring festival celebrated around Pentecost, marking the shift into early summer. People danced, feasted, and held ritual processions, sometimes mock battles, around tall decorated Maypoles symbolizing life and renewal.
At the end, the poles were taken down and their wreaths shared for luck and a good harvest. The festival also involved invoking old Slavic deities like Łado and Leli, blending seasonal celebration with ancient spiritual traditions.

"Swamp Kikimora"

Swamp Kikimora is a creature from ancient Slavic folklore that lives in marshes and forests. She can appear as either a young girl or an old woman, with rough skin, a long nose, and strange chicken-like limbs. Active after dusk, she was believed to torment households and travelers alike. In the swamps, she used eerie laughter to lure lost wanderers off safe paths and into deadly bogs.
Should I do a house Kikimora next?
