Bienvenue à Ouagadougou - Welcome to Ouaga ! When I was 16 years old I saw the Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 on a map and immediately told my friend "Look, I just found the best place in the world." Fast forward and I have now lived here for 5 years!

If you look up Burkina Faso on Google or hear about it on the news - all you will see is information about terrorism, poverty, corruption, military coups, and refugees. But living here, these things are not a part of my daily reality. Instead I experience color, culture, music, laughter, collaborations, dancing, delicious food, festivals, circus and a remarkable sense of family and community.

This year I'm making it my goal to show off this country as the beautiful place it is - from the unique perspective of a juggling "Nassara" (meaning white girl in the local language - and my name every day when I walk down the street).

This is the first video of the project, featuring a day of juggling in some of the iconic and typical places of Ouagadougou.
