Congratulations to current student Mia and Erindale alumna Ash Weller on their outstanding achievements at the 17&U and 19&U National Netball Championships in Melbourne. Mia was part of the ACT 17&U team that achieved an incredible 5th place finish, the highest result for the ACT in many years. Ash was also recognised for her outstanding performances with selection in the Australian National 19&U squad. We are incredibly proud of both athletes and look forward to seeing what they achieve next. #ErindaleCollege #NetballACT #FutureReady

Erindale College students have once again showcased their passion for science at the Titration Stakes competition. A fantastic achievement for Erindale College at the ACT School Futsal Championships. Our students showcased the values of resilience, teamwork and excellence across every division, producing impressive results throughout the competition. The U16 Boys were crowned ACT Champions after an outstanding tournament performance. The U19 Boys Black team earned runners-up honours following a determined effort in the final against Gungahlin College, while the U19 Girls also finished runners-up after a spirited contest against Merici College. To celebrate Neurodiversity Week last term, our Compass Food Studies students helped bring the EC community together through food, connection and inclusion. The week began with Food With Friends, where students prepared brownies, cookies, orange balls and chicken nuggets to share with peers and staff. The event created a welcoming space for students to connect over food and conversation while developing teamwork and confidence in the kitchen. As part of Food With Friends, students and staff were invited to share messages of support and appreciation for neurodivergent people on Post-it notes, creating a colourful display of positivity across the eKnex windows. This encouraged our community to be open minded and recognise the value of different ways of thinking and learning. Mid-week, students hosted Piklets for Progress, preparing and serving piklets to peers while encouraging visitors to pledge their commitment to inclusion at EC. To finish the week, students planned and delivered a burger service for staff, showing growing independence, organisation and determination in a real-world hospitality setting. We are incredibly proud of the way our students embraced opportunities to connect with the wider college community, and together, celebrated Neurodiversity Week at EC. #ErindaleCollege #NeurodiversityWeek #InclusiveEducation

The future looks bright for our Erindale College debaters. Last week, our Debating Club welcomed Rotary Tuggeranong (/2ceqvo8w) Youth Coordinator John Britton and incoming coordinator Garry Smith as our Year 12 students continue preparing for the National Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA) in August. Thanks to the generous support of Rotary Tuggeranong, three of our students will represent Erindale College at this prestigious event hosted by Rotary Club of Canberra Sunrise (/2xkkzx3m). Students have been developing their skills as knowledgeable and reflective learners through research, collaboration and debate around important global issues. They have now taken the exciting step of nominating the countries they hope to represent. MUNA provides an incredible opportunity for students to grow as confident communicators and active global citizens while working alongside students from across Australia. We cannot wait to see our team in action. #ErindaleCollege #MUNA #FutureLeaders

Our Year 11 and 12 Compass students recently returned from an unforgettable 3 day, 2 night experience at Birrigai Outdoor School. Throughout the camp, students demonstrated resilience, collaboration and a willingness to seek challenge as they participated in activities designed to build teamwork, communication and confidence. From tackling the 10 metre giant swing to supporting one another during the crate climb, students consistently stepped outside their comfort zones and encouraged their peers to do the same. It was fantastic to see students reflect, adapt and grow as learners while building stronger friendships and lifelong memories. Whether working through obstacle course challenges, making damper around the campfire, or participating in the final yarning session, students showed what it means to be champions of today and champions of tomorrow. We are incredibly proud of the courage, determination and positive mindset displayed by all students throughout the camp experience. #ErindaleCollege #CompassProgram #StudentGrowth

A year-long journey came to fruition last week when the Netball squad were presented with their newly designed netball dress. Kaylee and Maddi Warren (2019 graduate and 2025 graduate) were both members of the netball squad from Year 10 – 12 in their respective years. The girls are strong and proud indigenous women and were tasked with the job to design the new netball dress. Last year, the squad members took some time to share with Kaylee and Maddi what it meant to be a member of the Erindale squad. This combined with Kaylee and Maddi’s knowledge of the indigenous culture and the Ngunnawal land provided the scaffold for the design - giving context to what it means to be a member of the Erindale Netball squad. Last week saw the design ‘in print’ and we were fortunate enough to have Kaylee and Maddi join us to present the dresses to the 2026 squad. Thanks Kaylee and Maddi – we love the design and the fact that you have been able to provide a dress that encompasses Erindale Netball on Ngunnawal country. #ErindaleCollege #ErindaleNetball #CommunityInAction
