Once I started getting older, and trust me, I’m still learning, I realized that I didn’t have to be the last person to leave an event. I realized that I didn’t have to do a grand announcement that I’ve arrived, nor when I leave. I realize that sitting at home with my wife is more important that hanging out with people who could be problematic, but in the past I used to overlook it because I called them friends. I learned that having a disagreement with someone about something I stand firm on, and they don’t does me no justice. It honestly irritates my energy and spirit, so arguing is worthless. I learned that peace of mind is more important than being right all of the time. You can have it, I’m good. You learn as you get older that some people only view you as a meal and once the plate is clean, they’re on to the next server. Getting older made me realize that I have to work on stop second guessing myself and be more confident in my moves, but also know that no move is executed perfect nor effective without a solid team. Being older is a blessing that many unfortunately didn’t or won’t be blessed to see and for that I’m eternally grateful for the years I have yet to see. So being called OG, Unk, or even old lol is more than a sign you can literally see from my generous gray hairs that I possess, it’s a symbol that I’ve lived life, am learning to deal with life, and am still living life. It’s good on this side, trust me.
