These are the 3 thumbs we made for the video posted a few hrs ago detailing every shot from when I played ‘the club’, as the locals call it, in 2018. Of course y’all clicked most on the one where I’m smoking a dart on the 12th tee, out of focus bc my gentle caddie brian wanted to make art I guess... I haven’t had a cigarette in five years thankfully, but I remember they tasted good that day.
Crazy that 2 people per second are watching this video right now. Crazy. If you told me this then, I would never have believed you. I just love telling stories, especially real ones.
Someone in the comments asked what song was playing in the car - It’s a local fella named James Brown, singing "Get Up".
What a song to listen to on Magnolia Lane with the sticks in the back. I will never ever forget that feeling. The pre-round jitters getting morphed into momentum from the strong staccato brass. I guess I can thank the Godfather of soul for my lack of nerves on the 1st tee shot.
