Brace yourself for this week’s crowdkilling belter from American hardcore outfit Knocked Loose, who for the occasion have tapped in punk pal Denzel Curry's fists and lyricism. ‘Hive Mind’ takes aim at those who lack individuality, wearing their identities like a costume and refusing to think for themselves. It’s a sonic whack over the noggin from the Grammy nominated band and, as their first release since 2024, is deserving of an equally hard-hitting MV. Directed by long time collaborator Eric Richter and Knocked Loose vocalist Bryan Garris, the clip was filmed in the band’s hometown of Louisville, Kentucky at the iconic skate spot David Armstrong Extreme Park. Scenes depicting a literal (skate) bowl of moshing bodies are offset by visuals of the band and Denzel going ape shit on the track’s performance. "This is something we've talked about doing for a long time” says Bryan. “We wondered if we could pull it off and who would be down. In the very beginning, we said for it to work, it would have to be Denzel Curry. Because he gets it." “Once we locked in the collab with Denzel for this song I knew I wanted to bring him into our world for the video” Bryan explains. “I wanted to create the craziest show we could and represent Louisville while we did it. It was a very fun day and my favorite video I have directed with Eric Richter.” With bars and riffs galore interplayed with insane editing and (barely) contained visual chaos, this is one audiovisual experience that illustrates beautifully the dynamism and depth of quality heavy music.
