Just married @sjwolansky !
I vow to love you more than anyone could hope to count!
We were friends for a decade and then we fell in love!

We got engaged!
And I pulled off the surprise.
I told @sjwolansky that I really wanted to go hiking on this trail that had been a pandemic staple and the site of one of her parents' first dates.
In secret, I colluded with our siblings @newcomer.katy@nataniawolansky@gdaysam . They acquired sunflowers, champagne, speakers, and most importantly a big brown box.
For context: Sara Joe and I met freshman fall at Harvard. Before the end of freshman year, I asked her to help me carry a huge, heavy cardboard box to my sophomore dorm for storage.
Reluctantly, she said she would, but only on the condition that she could hold it against me for the rest of our lives. And indeed she did.
Even when we started dating almost a decade after becoming friends, and then nearly four years into our relationship, I could never live down that box.
That box had interconnected us irrevocably long before I truly understood the stakes.
So, this past Saturday, sweaty and near the top of the trail, we came across another big cardboard box.
I asked her, "Will you carry this box with me?"
And she knew.
We climbed to the top with sunflowers surrounding us and Taylor Swift's August serenading us.
I asked her if she would marry me.
She said yes!
My family flew in from Georgia and our families greeted us when we got back from our hike.
I told Sara Joe when I proposed that the box representing our relationship felt a lot easier to carry.
It only had a ring in it after all.
