—finally got around to scanning film from @shlawb & i’s honeymoon trip to europe. stoked with the results, excited to share 🤌🏼
whenever out & about, i’ve always believed that the best camera is the one that’s with you. i’m the type to factor in size, weight, and overall feel & ergonomics of the gear i take with me on my adventures, which is why my coveted Leica Q has forever earned a spot in my kit. it has a size comparable to a rangefinder, packs an amazing full-frame sensor that handles low-light just as well as it does daylight, and sports an excellent 28mm f/1.7 summilux stabilized lens that can do it all. i’ve taken this camera all over the world and while many see this camera as a trophy piece that should only be used every once-in-a-while, it’s been an absolute workhorse that never fails to exceed my expectations, and the wear on it shows. with these particular images, having a camera that was ready for anything at a moment’s notice was key – and while i do love intentional framing and have immense respect for the technicality behind certain compositions, i’ve also gained a refined appreciation for spur-of-the-moment, snapshot-oriented approaches to photography and have added that to my repertoire. thanks to my trusty Leica Q, i’m always ready for even the most pivotal of moments.
