BIG SMOKE FEAT. ERICK THE ARCHITECT OUT NOW!! Erick was one of the first people I met when I moved to LA. He has always been such a warm genuine presence in a city full of cynicism. I’m so grateful to him for this collaboration. Go stream Big Smoke now on all DSPs. Link in bio!
i released my project future proof back in 2021. five years ago today 🎂
it’s easy to say the world was different back then. but even with crippling lockdowns tragedy and uncertainty, i found a lot of solace and peace in creating music that spoke for us as a community. people fighting through something together
most anniversary releases feel like formalities. like it’s just “what you’re supposed to do”. today feels much more like reflection than acknowledgement for me
i wrote these songs out of pure emotion during a time when so many people were silenced by fear and everything happening around us. i can honestly say this project changed my life and the lives of many others & i would love to hear about your special moment with this project ✍️
with all the weird shit going on in the world right now, if you have never heard future proof, i recommend you take 20 minutes out of your day today and remember what the world felt like five years ago
thank you to everyone who gave this project a chance back then.
and a big welcome to everyone who discovers it today and in the future 🌎
'Dos Uvas' (PJ's Flip) feat. @erickthearchitect out now!🌠
I can't say enough good words about my friend Erick: talented beyond belief in everything he touches and an absolute sweetheart of a human. This is our 3rd release together, and I hope it will not be the last! I hope you folks enjoy what we created together. Much love, PJ

looking back has always been harder than moving forward. i look at an entire year and always feel like it went by way too fast. i should probably be better at this by now, but here we are 🤣
this year was about staying in motion, trusting my instincts, pushing past whatever bullshit shows up, and continuing to build without needing to be unnecessarily loud. i’ve always let my work speak for itself. i love to make shit happen. i think the internet can dilute how special an experience really is, because we’re so focused on broadcasting it instead of living it. remembering to appreciate moments as they happen, in real life, will always be most important fr.
life doesn’t get easier, we just hope to get better at navigating it.
i’m grateful for my health, my friends, my family, and the clarity that comes from doing the work. i’m stepping into 2026 with higher expectations and deeper belief in what’s ahead. continue to redefine your definition of success, continue to walk with pride, and feel confident knowing things will get better for you, because you deserve it 🥂
We had the pleasure of welcoming @erickthearchitect one of the most forward-thinking voices in contemporary hip-hop to Goodhood for an intimate visit. As a founding member of Flatbush Zombies, Erick the Architect continues to blur boundaries between sound, style, and culture with intention and authenticity. A true creative at heart, his approach to music and fashion feels instinctive, considered, and deeply rooted in community.
For the look, Erick wears Estudio Niksen Striped Longsleeve, Stussy Beanie, Goldwin Pertex Down Jacket, Nike Shox and San San Gear Trousers.
