It was a good day until this happened. Matt's car flipped all the way over landing on its roof then planted up on its rear wheels. The judges gave it a 9.5. Luckily no injuries.
My grandpa bought this Dodge Charger new off the lot in 1968. It was passed down to my dad after he died in 1990. When my dad died in 2001 it was passed down to David. After 20 years with David it is now in my hands. Driving it today I had a special heartfelt moment of memories and a connection that traveled through the steering wheel from their hands to mine. And just like the clip out of Pulp Fiction when passing the watch down, when I pass, this beauty will fall into the hands of my kids. The only difference, is this car won't fit up my ass like that watch.
100 miles of single track and not for the light hearted. Insane uphills and lots of rocks made it a long day, but a great feeling of accomplishment when you finished it.
For my high school friends.
Clearing out stuff and came across this 9th grade pic of Todd McPhee (RIP), me and Ken Krause showing off our muscles the night before we did the 72 mile Tecate-Ensenada bike ride.
