After the first big storm we got, Eric and I talked about getting a photo in the snow. With temperatures well below freezing, it took two weeks of building and about 20 gallons of water to make this snow quarter.
It takes a lot of courage just to test it out to see if it will work. It’s also terrifying to skate because you’re on ice and with the slightest wrong movement you’re going down.
I wanted to do more on it but the day after we shot this it snowed again and a plow destroyed it. Slightly warmer temperatures have made it not worth trying to rebuild.
Making this happen required a lot of time and patience so I’m glad it worked out!
