What if three words could anchor your entire becoming?
We asked @_shruthinair_ to explore mudras that define her as a woman, gestures that carry memory, power, and freedom. Three words emerged: Being. Belonging. Blooming. They shape her journey with intention and serve as her inner compass.
What Shruthi reminds us:
Pause. Notice the moments that quietly shape who you are —the morning ritual you can’t skip, the time you said no, the piece of Jewellery you love. They’re the small markers pointing toward your becoming.

For a long time, I thought freedom meant breaking away.
But sometimes, it’s about returning
to the parts of me that were waiting to be seen.
What does it mean to be unbounded
when your mind feels bound by perfectionism?
As a dancer, I’ve spent years balancing Bharathanatyam’s tradition with my own voice —
each choice carrying the weight of honoring the past
while daring to create something new.
For so long, I hid from the very intensity that fuels me.
But what if that fire was never meant to be contained?
@bshp.sg gave me four experiments to explore that question.
Through mudras, color, instinct, and choice,
I learned that freedom isn’t about breaking away,
it’s about embracing all the contradictions that make me whole.

The mixing of metals, as evident in ancient Southeast Asian traditions. Moments of stacked jewellery, a nod to the layered luxury of our history and something you’ll see in royal portraits. And the infusion of lace—a familiar sight on the traditional garments and textiles in our homes. For our October ‘Kinship’ issue, marvel at a spread that embodies this year’s #NextInVogue gala theme, ‘Rituals and Radiance’, one that shows how style can speak to dressing at your finest whilst staying true to your roots. #VogueSingapore

Had the privilege of being granted ring side photographer seat at the recent Legacy Women’s Boxing Championship 2025 @legacywbc held at Bedok Sports Hall. It was a great experience being a newbie shooting sports, enjoyed immensely the raw and quick action which is so different from the deliberate calculated pace of directing and posing models in commercial photography.
