Last week, I was absolutely delighted to be invited back to Mulroy College, the school where I worked as a special needs assistant for many years, to be the guest speaker at their prize giving ceremony.
It was so special to return and catch up with the staff and students, especially Sinead, who I worked with when she was in first year and who is now in LCA. It was a really proud and memorable moment. It wasn’t an easy decision at the time to step away from my job as an SNA but I’m delighted to have been able to build a platform over the last number of years that allows me to raise awareness and be a voice for those students that I worked with and others. It really hit home how much has happened over the last number of years being back at the school, thanks again for having me @mulroycollege ❤️

I’m working with @mentalhealthireland for this year’s Hello, How Are You? campaign. It’s all about something really simple but powerful—asking “hello, how are you?” and actually taking the time to really listen to the answer.
