Before his death, Eric Dolphy gave a big collection of scores, sketches and transcriptions to his friend, composer Hale Smith. Currently available at the performing arts section of the Library of Congres, this collection includes unrecorded compositions, alternative arrangements to signature Dolphy compositions, exploration of scales and other concepts and even transcriptions of Charlie Parker, Stravinsky and Bach.
