Μία εκστατική περιπλάνηση στις παραδόσεις της Μεσογείου
Ο @Markellos Chryssicos και το ERGON ENSEMBLE παρουσιάζουν
δύο σπουδαία έργα της σύγχρονης μουσικής: το Kyrie Eleison του John Tavener και το Ayre του Osvaldo Golijov.

🎼Το Kyrie Eleison του Tavener, εμπνευσμένο από την Ορθόδοξη λειτουργική παράδοση και τον ανατολικό μυστικισμό, λειτουργεί ως μουσική προσευχή. Μέσα από λιτές, τελετουργικές δομές και ήχους που παραπέμπουν στη βυζαντινή ψαλμωδία, το έργο πραγματεύεται την υπέρβαση του εγώ, τη μεταμόρφωση του ανθρώπου και την πορεία προς την ένωση με το Θείο. Η μουσική, η οποία ηχογραφήθηκε από την Björk το 2001, δεν απευθύνεται στον εαυτό του δημιουργού, αλλά δημιουργεί έναν χώρο διαλογισμού και εσωτερικής ίασης για τον ακροατή.
🎼Το Ayre του Golijov αποτελεί έναν κύκλο έντεκα τραγουδιών, παραγγελία του Carnegie Hall, που αντλεί υλικό από τη Μεσόγειο και ιδιαίτερα τη νότια Ισπανία. Βυζαντινά μέλη, σεφαραδίτικα νανουρίσματα, αραβικά, εβραϊκά και χριστιανικά κείμενα συνυπάρχουν σε μια μουσική αφήγηση που αναδεικνύει τη συνύπαρξη των τριών πολιτισμών πριν από τη Reconquista. Το Ayre υμνεί τη μουσική ως κοινή γλώσσα και ως απόδειξη ότι διαφορετικές πίστεις και ταυτότητες συνθέτουν μια ενιαία ανθρώπινη οικογένεια.

Στον αιώνιο χορό της ύπαρξης, οι έννοιες της Αρχής, του Χώρου και του Χρόνου διαπλέκονται, δημιουργώντας ένα πλέγμα που συνδέει τη ζωή με τον θάνατο.
Η δράση ΛΟΓΟΣ 132 έχει ως πυρήνα την εκτέλεση του Κουαρτέτου εγχόρδων αρ. 15, αρ. καταλόγου 132, του Λούντβιχ βαν Μπετόβεν, μια σύνθεση που αποτυπώνει τη θνητότητα και την ανθρώπινη κατάσταση.
Η περιήγηση θα οδηγήσει τον επισκέπτη στο Εκκλησιαστήριο στον αρχαιολογικό χώρο της Αρχαίας Μεσσήνης, μέσα από τα ηχητικά -μεταλλικά γλυπτά της Στέλλας Ν. Χρίστου και τις αφηγήσεις των Τεσσάρων Κουαρτέτων, ποιημάτων του T.S.Eliot, από τον Νικόλα Χανακούλα συνοδευόμενο από τους ήχους σημαντικών έργων του 20ού αιώνα όπως: Ιάννης Ξενάκης - Charisma, Tristan Murail - Les ruines circulaires και Olivier Messiaen - âbime des Oiseaux από το εμβληματικό “Κουαρτέτο για το τέλος των Χρόνων”.
Ως εισαγωγή στο κουαρτέτο του L.V.Beethoven θα παρουσιαστεί το μυσταγωγικό έργο του James Tenney, “Having Never Written a Note for Percussion”, για σόλο Tam tam. Ένα έργο που παραπέμπει στις βουδιστικές τελετές των μοναχών αλλά και στη συχνοτική συσσώρευση των δονήσεων που προσφέρει το μεγαλοπρεπές όργανο.

Get ready for a groundbreaking international co-production with the Experimentation Center of the renowned Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. This unique project brings to life a new opera based on the monologue "CASSANDRA" by Uruguayan playwright Sergio Blanco, with music by the distinguished Argentine composer Pablo Ortiz. The production stars the incredible transgender soprano María Castillo de Lima and is directed by Diana Theocharidis and Alexandros Efklidis. This work by the emerging composer Yannis Angelakis is a special performance that combines musical theater with contemporary experimental music.
The rawness in the use of voices and instruments delineates violence as it is unlocked through Euripides' play: between Pentheus and Dionysus, between the opposing forces of human nature, between the preservation of tradition and the ferocious desire for the new.
The production will be directed by the sought-after theater director Giorgos Koutlis.
The set and costumes have been designed by Artemis Flesa, while the lighting design is by Giorgos Ajanitis.
