This photographic work explores traces of wilderness within everyday surroundings. Rather than depicting nature as distant or untouched, it reveals subtle moments where the wild quietly emerges.
The camera acts as a tool of observation and inquiry, drawing attention to what often goes unnoticed. Through these images, wilderness appears not as a fixed place, but as a fleeting condition.

Leave the leafs, 2023
Wilderness, one might think, can only be encountered in untouched and remote places. This apparent dichotomy between humans and nature leads us to not consider ourselves as possible parts of what we call ”wilderness“. Yet, we come across wilderness frequently in the most unexpected situations. For instance, in the form of wind, which finds its way through the canyons of our highly artificial world, leaving uncontrollable moments in its wake. Wilderness is thus not distant, but an omnipresent part of our existence. We are a part of it. This installation combines what I term ”Micro Wilderness“, embodied by the wind that creates uncontrollable moments within the leaf-sculpture, and the artificial world symbolized by the white cube.

Ein Buch was von Wurzeln und Ziegeln erzählt. Es beschäftigt sich mit Fragen der individuellen Persönlichkeitsentwicklung und der Geschichte Ostpreußens, sowie der meiner Ahnen. Der Blick in die Vergangenheit offenbart eine Ansammlung von menschlichen Geschichten. Wir können aus ihnen lernen. Uns zu mehr Toleranz und zu einem friedlicheren Miteinander bewegen lassen.
