Our founder @erantibi says one of his biggest inspirations, in life and in the kitchen, is his mum.
“Mum, you’re the definition of fun and strength, a proper powerhouse. You can cook seventeen pots of food in a couple of hours and make it look effortless. Five people for dinner suddenly turns into fifteen, and you’ve still got enough food to feed the whole block.”
She’s the reason he believes food is about generosity, hosting, and bringing people together and living life to the fullest, like she always says.

Baharat & Pecan Pie with Maple Chantilly.
I was keeping this recipe in the drawer for a long time, and I’m very happy to finally share it. Make it to have a slice with coffee in the morning, or as a full-blown dessert with the addition of this cream full of warmth that fits the season like a glove. Sticky and packed full of warm spice mix through caramelised pecans and baharat.
Tart Case:
400g plain flour
20g caster sugar
½ tsp lemon zest
½ tsp baharat
½ tsp salt
200g cold unsalted butter, cubed
2 medium eggs
½ vanilla bean / 1 tsp paste
Blitz dry ingredients + butter until sandy. Add eggs, pulse until dough forms. Chill 30 min. Roll thin (3–4mm), line tart tin.
Blind bake 175°C. 15 min with weights, then 5 min uncovered until golden. Cool.
Filling:
120g golden syrup
110g light brown sugar
70g butter
80g double cream
90g egg yolks
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baharat
Vanilla
280g toasted pecans
Cook everything except pecans on low heat - 10 min until slightly thick (do not boil). Strain, fold in pecans. Pour into tart shell. Bake 175°C for 25 min until golden + bubbling edges. Cool completely.
Maple & Baharat Chantilly (optional):
300ml double cream
30g maple syrup
Vanilla
½ tsp baharat
Whip to stiff peaks, keep chilled.
Finish:
Brush with maple syrup, top with cream, dust with baharat.

🫓 Carrot Hummus with Short Rib kumquat compote, harissa, coriander & carrot chips.
🐟 Ceviche Catch of The Day red chili, yellow pepper tiger milk & bergamot.
🥩 Beef Fillet Skewers grape molasses & laffa.
🐔 Sticky Golden Chicken spiced corn purée, harissa sriracha, charred leeks.
🍆 Aubergine Roulade with spinach pesto, pilpechuma & almond whey.
🍰 Kapara Cheesecake with blackberry meringue & fresh blackberries.
🍫 Chocolate Mousse, tuile, sour cream & fig syrup.
Kapara’s high-ceilinged, contemporary space sets the tone: low lighting, polished energy, and music that keeps the atmosphere lively without overpowering conversation. The playful menu delivers bold Middle Eastern dishes that are designed for sharing. Highlights from our lunch included the Sticky Golden Chicken, Beef Fillet Skewers, vibrant Carrot Hummus, and the beautifully balanced Kapara Cheesecake. Cocktails, especially the Smoked Blackberry & Hava Tequila, are just as impressive. A big thank you to Danny for the incredible service and to Josh for the exceptional cocktails.
