😂 Happy World Laughter Day! 🐴✨
Today reminds us that laughter isn’t just good for the soul — it’s magic for your horse too. When we show up with positivity, smiles, and genuine joy, our horses feel it. Laughter and light-hearted energy help build deep trust, reduce stress (for both of you!), boost confidence, improve focus during training, and create that beautiful, willing partnership every rider dreams of. A happy human = a happy, relaxed, and more connected horse.
So go ahead — laugh with your horse, play silly games in the arena, give them a good scratch while you giggle, and watch the bond grow stronger every day.
Now it’s your turn! Drop a photo of your happiest horse below — ears forward, bright eyes, playful expression, or mid-zoomies in the pasture. Let’s flood the feed with equine joy and spread the laughter! 💕 Tag a horse friend who needs a smile today!

Clean, level stalls aren't just a luxury—they're essential medicine for horses in rehab or recovering from injuries.
A clean environment minimizes the risk of infection, reduces respiratory irritation, and gives your horse the best shot at healing comfortably. And when it comes to leg injuries? Level flooring is non-negotiable. It helps distribute weight evenly, prevents unnecessary strain on healing tissues, and supports proper alignment as your horse moves and rests.
Even small uneven spots or deep bedding can shift load onto injured limbs, slowing recovery or causing new issues. Taking the time to maintain pristine, flat stalls is one of the most powerful things we can do to support our horses’ healing journey.
Here's how we do it...
Pick out all manure and dig out wet/pee spots to the floor.
Sprinkle odor/moisture absorber
Add a level layer of sand
Redistribute dry bedding evenly — make it perfectly level.
Bank walls with extra bedding.

Cupping isn’t just for humans—it’s making a real impact in equine rehab & bodywork sessions, too.
Unlike traditional massage, which works through compression, cupping works through decompression—gently lifting the tissue instead of pressing into it. This creates space within the fascia and improves blood flow, making it especially beneficial for horses dealing with tightness, soreness, or post-injury recovery.
Cupping therapy uses gentle suction to lift the skin and underlying tissues, increasing circulation, reducing muscle tension, and supporting the body’s natural healing process.
At Equikare, we incorporate cupping alongside bodywork, red light therapy, and controlled exercise programs to:
✅ Improve blood flow to targeted areas
✅ Decrease inflammation
✅ Release fascial restrictions
✅ Promote relaxation and comfort
Many horses visibly respond during sessions—licking, chewing, stretching—signs that their body is releasing tension and resetting.
Whether your horse is recovering from an injury or just needs help feeling their best, therapies like cupping can make a difference.
Rehab is more than rest—it’s intentional, hands-on care every step of the way.

Meet Shiloh!
We’re thrilled to welcome our new intern to the EquiKare team!
Shiloh grew up around horses and competed in barrel racing and rodeo throughout college. These experiences sparked her passion for equine medicine and led her to earn certifications in both Equine Massage Therapy and Equine Rehabilitation.
She recently completed her degree in Animal Science – Equine Science at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and will begin veterinary school at the University of Minnesota this fall.
We’re thrilled to have her joining us to build her clinical skills and gain valuable hands-on experience as she prepares for vet school and her future career in equine veterinary medicine. She's already stolen Hooey's heart! 😍
Welcome to the team, Shiloh! 🐴👏🤩
