On 23 April 2026, @bloombergnef alongside @aseanenergy (ACE), convened the Energy Security Outlook Roundtable: Implications of the Middle East Crisis for Global and ASEAN Energy Markets, supported by @kesdm and @equatorise Advisory.
This roundtable convenes key stakeholders across policy institutions, development finance, philanthropy, civil society, and the energy industry to discuss the implications of the recent geopolitical developments.
The discussion reinforced that energy security and energy transition can no longer be treated separately. ASEANâs reliance on Middle Eastern oil and gas creates immediate exposure to price, supply, fiscal, and industrial pressures. While short-term responses such as subsidies, price controls, fuel rationing, and energy savings can help bridge the immediate gap, the regionâs long-term resilience will depend on investment across areas such as the ASEAN Power Grid, EV infrastructure, renewable energy, biofuels, and alternative sourcing arrangements.
Follow Equatorise and visit to find out how you we can help you towards a more sustainable future
It's getting closer to Ecosperity Week 2026 and AACM is excited to be part of the momentum!
From key convenings to closed-door roundtables, weâre looking forward to engaging with stakeholders across the region and beyond.
Youâll find us across the weekâexchanging ideas, building partnerships, and contributing to the conversations shaping whatâs next for carbon markets and climate finance in Southeast Asia.

On 21 April 2026, Kadin Indonesia and the Ministry of Forestry of Indonesia, in collaboration with the ASEAN Alliance on Carbon Markets (AACM) and the Indonesian Association for Forest Concession Holders (APHI), supported by Equatorise Advisory, hosted the event Decoding Permenhut 6/2026: Implications for Indonesiaâs Carbon Market at Menara Kadin Indonesia. The session brought together representatives from government, business, project developers, and market experts to exchange views on the newly issued regulation and its implications for Indonesiaâs carbon market ecosystem.
The discussion served not as a formal socialisation of Permenhut 6/2026, but as the first public discussion for open industry feedback following its release ahead of the Ministry of Forestryâs official socialisation in the coming weeks. The session highlighted the regulationâs potential to strengthen clarity, governance, and integrity in Indonesiaâs carbon market, while also surfacing key areas where industry is seeking further guidance. Topics raised included the approvals process, the treatment of internationally certified projects, the risk of approval reversal, and the design of the nesting mechanism. The discussion also underscored the importance of continued collaboration to support the effective implementation of Permenhut 6/2026 and other downstream regulations under Perpres 110/2025.
We appreciate the candid exchange of perspectives and look forward to continued engagement to help shape a credible, effective, and internationally competitive carbon market in Indonesia. AACM stands ready to continue playing a constructive role as an ecosystem enabler, builder, and convener in supporting this next phase of implementation.

One narrow waterway, but a wide impact. The disruption in the Strait of Hormuz is reshaping oil and LNG flows. Tighter supply, as well as higher prices makes Asia particularly exposed to this impactful conflict across the other side of the world.

On World Health Day 2026, the message from @who is clear: Together for health. Stand with science. From vaccines and treatment breakthroughs to stronger public health systems and cross-sector collaboration, science continues to shape healthier futures. As this yearâs campaign highlights the importance of the One Health approach, the conversation will also carry into the One Health Summit 2026 in Lyon, where leaders and experts will come together to advance science-based solutions for shared health challenges.

As artificial intelligence becomes more embedded in everyday life, the conversation can no longer focus on Innovation alone. The rise of the generative AI based crime such as deepfakes, voice cloning, and AI-enabled fraud shows why stronger governance and greater safeguards are becoming increasingly important.
