The Install project is well underway! Funded by @heritagefunduk community group The Artful Willows are celebrating a century of East End markets.
Based at Willows Care Home in Essex the group are breathing new life into the stories and traditions of Rathbone Market, Chrisp Street market and one of London’s oldest sites #petticoatlanemarket
Coming up will be dementia-friendly creative workshops where they'll create visual artwork, audio recordings and Zines about the traders and those who shopped there.
To get inspired the group visited @towerhamletsarchives to get up close with their heritage collections.

⭐“Memory may decline but the emotional memory, how it made us feel, that stays with us a lot longer. It’s important we support people living with dementia to keep having these positive experiences in their lives.”⭐
Connection & communication is key - that's why we're asking for your help to develop a much-needed sensory book for people living with advanced dementia - if you can spare a £1 or two, it all really does make a difference.
One in two of us will be affected by dementia in our lifetime, either by caring for someone with the condition, developing it ourselves, or both. As dementia progresses, people need access to sensory activities which will enhance their wellbeing and social connection.
