Finance is a space where women lead, decide, and drive impact. 💼✨ From Luxembourg, students from @equal_esade asked Barbara Balke, Secretary General of the @europeaninvestmentbank , what advice she would give to women building their path in finance.

Friendly reminder to women: you don’t need permission! Stop waiting to feel ready. Stop shrinking in the room. Stop apologizing for being ambitious. Students from our @equal_esade association asked #Esade’s Professor Mara Balestrini which advice women should leave behind when it comes to leadership, finance and equality. The only advice worth taking? Trust yourself and go for it. 🔥

Behind the scenes from Luxembourg 🇱🇺🎥 Last week, our students from @equal_esade visited the @europeaninvestmentbank to interview Barbara Balke, Secretary General of the EIB, and talk about gender equality, strong female leadership, women in finance and the role of EU institutions in creating more inclusive environments. This interview was initiated and organized by the Equal Association, reflecting their commitment to taking student-led conversations beyond campus and learn directly from one of the leading voices inside a major European institution. Stay tuned for the full interview ✨

📢Homelessness is rooted in structural injustices, not personal choices. It is about invisibility and a cycle of exclusion in which we all, consciously or not, participate. Have you ever taken the time to sit down with a homeless person and share a simple, human conversation about your day? 💜The Equal Charity Gala raised more than €600 to donate to @arrelsfundacio , an NGO working to ensure that no one is forced to sleep on the streets. This event was organized in collaboration with @esademusic and @transposemagazine , in the unique setting of @naubostik . 🎼Thank you to our guest performers — Laura Pons (violin), Erik-Andrei Mihai (piano), and Dimitri Petrov (tenor) — who joined us from the Conservatori del Liceu. 🎼And thank you as well to our student performers from ESADE Music: Hao Antonio Fernandez (piano), Lucas Duarte de Lima (guitar), and Ophéliane Herlant (vocals). A special thanks to our sponsors @danone.es and @forn_la_panacee for the food and drinks and to Nooran Al-Rubaiee, our event photographer !

Yesterday, the @equal_esade and the @esade_wibac came together for a truly special evening.✨ What made the night so meaningful was the reminder that, although we are at different stages of our academic and professional journeys, we share something important in common: we each chose to be part of a women’s association. That created space for honest, inspiring, and enjoyable conversations — from personal stories to professional ambitions. There was everything the evening should have had: loud laughter, emotional conversations, and a genuine sense of connection. It was such a pleasure to bring both associations together, and it definitely feels like this is only the beginning. Here’s to an even closer bond between Equal and WIBAC in the years to come, and to many more evenings like this very soon!🍷

Thank you to Nicole Finnemann, U.S. diplomat, for joining us this Wednesday for Frontlines of Diplomacy: Negotiation, Conflict, and Power. The event was marked by strong audience engagement and thoughtful contributions throughout the discussion. With over 85 attendees, it became a particularly dynamic and meaningful exchange

A new piece from our Research Department dives into the limits of liberal feminism and asks a bigger question: is formal equality enough? This article explores how intersectionality reveals the gaps in mainstream feminist progress, highlighting the need to address class, race, and structural inequality to achieve real, material change. Curious to rethink what feminist progress really means? Read the full paper by @albert_pampalona_lisnenko it’s a thought-provoking one. Read it via our latest LinkedIn post: link in our bio!
