Our newest space in Glenrothes is already proving very popular with the locals!
Self styled 'Creative Multitasker', Steve Bretel has taken on the space to provide inclusive and inspiring classes to art lovers from all walks of life. Attendees can learn from scratch, practice techniques and share their creativity with others.

Day 2 of my EPSpaces takeover! I'm so grateful that my space is large enough that I was able to clean it up (!) and stage my own successful exhibition, showing a selection of new and earlier work. I sold nineteen pieces and donated 10% to the @disastersemergencycommittee in aid of the Turkish Syrian earthquake. It has also freed up space to allow me to make plenty more new paintings! Yay! 😃🎨

An amazing thing about @epspaces is that you can make it completely your own.
I haven't had much consistent studio time in the year or so that I have had this space. Finally now I am able to engage in a period of play and exploration. Figuring out how to make best use of the space is an ongoing process.
Newest addition is this nice wall 😁 so I can get some paintings up of the floor and eventually photograph them to show the world 🥳📢

The EP Spaces team had the absolute pleasure of visiting the beautiful and heartbreaking exhibition by Ira Andreichuk and Vika Vasynska today.
Arranged by EP Spaces artists Cathy Bell and Gordon Weir, the exhibition showcases the horror of War alongside the bravery and resilience of the Ukrainian people.
Located within the 'Wee Hub' in Ocean Terminal, Leith, the exhibition is displayed alongside many other inspiring artworks and community projects run by the Living Memory Association.
The 'Ukrainian Voices' exhibition will tour Edinburgh and Livingston, stopping next at The Chaplaincy at Edinburgh University in September.

We have serious studio envy whenever we visit Lizzie Lilley's Aberdeen space! 🎨
Lizzie’s work explores the interplay of colour and texture, using restricted palettes determined by a repetitive instinctive process. Initially informed by photographic images of social change or moments of civil unrest, drawn studies are an essential step in the progress of the work. The resulting painting or drawing takes on its own significance or feeling, pushing the image away from the source and instilling a sense of space or movement through the use of form and colour.

Mark Leslie's stunning photography is inspired by the Old Masters, particularly Caravaggio.
Using his large 24 hour office space in Motherwell, he has been able to not only store his large collection of props and costumes, but also offer a safe and welcoming space to invite in his models.
In September 2021, Mark exhibited a captivating collection of portraits featuring the volunteers working at Bannockburn House. During the 2 year project, Mark took thousands of pictures, perfecting each shot to depict different eras of the 17th century mansion’s history.
"My works falls into a few categories; abandoned buildings, street photography - but more recently I returned to my love of the old masters. I try and work round a full time job as a support worker. The space given by EP Spaces has been invaluable in enabling me to develop my work."
