We are deeply honoured to share that Elder Betty Ross of Pimicikamak Cree Nation (Cross Lake) - Residential School Survivor, Knowledge Keeper, and the heart behind the powerful film Return to the Falls - has been officially invited by the Office of the Governor General of Canada to a special ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa on September 29, 2025.
This event will recognize Elder Betty and fellow Residential School Survivors for their strength, truth, and the legacy of healing they continue to offer all of us. It is a moment of profound honour for Elder Betty and the Return to the Falls film tour team - and a long-awaited recognition of years of courage, storytelling, and spiritual resilience.
