Jelco SA-370D tonearm pivot (set) screws - direct replacement , custom made.
Recently i got a LAD GAJ 942sp which had 1 broken pivot (set) screw on its tonearm.
Although it is a M3 (3mm) size screw , the thread has not the standard 0.5mm pitch but 0.35mm!
Looking the internet there wasn't any applicable solution so making them by my own was the only way!

LAD GAJ 942sp Refurbish done :-)
Years back i was looking for a Professional Turntable for my LAB. Its purpose was/is to check my lathe cuts and test my hand-made EPOS phono cartridges!
I came across this LAD GAJ 942sp turntable and its Industrial look & build catched me the most. Reading reviews about its excellent performance made it famous on broadcast stations , studios and discotheques! (Mine came from a NL Radio Station)
Time after using it daily i experience speed issues. It was the time for a big service.
Removing all the internals found out it was not only the special Jelco tonearm that made it famous but also the JVC motor & drive board which was used on top-of-the-line JVC turntables and other HI-END turntables made by Micro Seiko , Goldmund etc.
Refurbish done included mods as follow:
- ADD Power Switch
- Replace Audio cable with RCA (chassis mounted)
- Fix & Calibrate Variable Speed controller
- Fix Power Supply board *
- Fix & Calibrate Motor Drive board *
* replaced all electrolytic Capacitors , Transistor , opamps and Microcontrollers. In addition i installed sockets in all cables , opamps & microcontrollers.
