The brief was for a contemporary, clean aesthetic from the street. Private yet open, with large expanses of glass and a natural material palette. The result a single-level home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. An open-plan kitchen, dining and living area flows to a north-facing alfresco.

The house features Krause emperor bricks, longer and thinner than standard, in a light natural tone that delivers both elegance and practicality.

We always enjoy seeing our projects brought to life in video form. This project was designed to be a home that aged in place and to enjoy life without the complexities of a large property to care for. The design consists of 3 Pavilions - with a connecting courtyard and body of water. The design quietly merges the form and tones of the local vernacular of Trentham.
