Two years ago I landed in LA with a simple vision - keep making music, open a guitar shop, and build something real around it.
Like a lot of people who move here chasing something, it hasn’t been easy. New country, new system, not even my first language, trying to survive and build at the same time.
Truth is - I barely play out in LA. I’m not really in the local gig scene and only get hit up here and there for a jam. Part of that is on me too, but usually the doors don’t open on their own. So at that point, you just do what you can.
But being in LA, you realize how insanely deep the talent is here and how much there is to learn. The community is huge, and honestly, just being able to connect with it feels like a blessing.
Last event felt special. Packed room, the right energy, and that raw feeling that something bigger is starting. It wasn’t perfect, and that’s the reality of music - it’s messy, and that’s why it’s good.
So now at
@epicaxes.us we’re joining forces with
@zadirra and launching
@epicfunction - an audio/visual live session series.
Live sets from the local scene, community, good people, and epic hangs. (We’re recording everything, so anything you play (or say) can and will be used against you in court)
Special thanks to all the amazing artists on stage:
