DRINK (2025) is a short student film which develops a visual style incorporating animation within live action shots to emphasise the effects of the alcoholic delusions within the story. Inspired by @gabrielomoses (‘s) work with nostalgic cartoon characters to depict a narrative in short pieces like ‘Lost Times’ as well as his staple use of grainy imagery within the majority of his photography.
Ultimately, the film invites viewers to make connections to their own childhood experiences through the nostalgic visual landscape, while simultaneously reflecting on the challenges of growing into young adulthood and the real world exposure that comes with it.
