Last year, I put “PRODUCER” on my vision board. I thought I was calling in someone else… but I was discovering the producer within.
COVID pushed me into home recording, mixing, and producing. Then I moved to a spacious country spot with a magical barn. That barn became my sacred creative and recording space.
Enter @sheenacoda and ‘Strawberry Lemonade.’
My bestie Sheena played me a voice memo of her original song “Strawberry Lemonade”. I KNEW it was special.
We recorded the guitar and vocals in the barn, sent it to Eric Oberschmidt @eoberschmidt , a brilliant producer and musician, and had a blast bringing it to life.
And now… it’s up for Best Country/Americana Song at the SDMAs! 🎉
