Previous "Homework" exhibitions focused on young, primarily local artists, with the goal of mapping the contemporary art situation in relation to emerging practices in the country. For "Homework #3", the intention of mapping the context will remain the driving force, but this time, the exhibition aims to create a dialogue between a number of Portuguese artists and international ones who have chosen Portugal as the place to live, work, and create. In recent years, we have witnessed many changes in the country, yet there has not been enough attention given to how the contemporary art scene has further developed in Portugal. This exhibition seeks to offer a hopefully insightful, albeit limited, perspective on that development, one that will spark further research and open minds to new possibilities.
