Introducing Bonisu ( @akabonisu )- the second of our two guests for the next Fugue State happening on February 28th.
Born from the underground spirit of the Dominican Republic and now embedded in Tampa’s evolving scene, Bonisu channels techno as pure atmosphere—dark, experimental, and hypnotically raw. Her sets are intentional journeys, guided by an instinctive connection with the crowd where rhythm replaces time, and the dancefloor transforms into ritual.
As a longtime resident with Fader Events, she has carried her sound to stages across Colombia, Miami, NYC, Orlando, and beyond, leaving each space immersed in deep, forward-thinking frequencies.

“What does techno mean to you?”:
It’s my catalyst for human connection, behind the decks & on the dancefloor; a shared energy without a need for words
99% of people who I hold dear to me, I met through techno music, so it truly has shaped my world and means everything to me
Discovering a deep passion for underground techno right in her hometown of St. Pete, Chelsea Lyn started djing in the hopes of furthering the local scene that she fell in love with
She has since become a resident dj for Fader Events, delivering sets that span a gamut of sounds, exploring all that techno has to offer.
We can’t wait to give space to Chelsea for her to fill the room with her unique taste and take us on a journey though techno from her perspective.

Very happy to share the recording from my closing set at @enterfugue / @_ironcow - for those of you who’ve been around you know I normally open versus playing closing slots so this was very special for me.
With the energy in the room it felt amazing, and I can confidently say this felt like the most “real” version of me through music that I’ve been able to do so far.
Thanks so much especially to those who stayed until the end and followed the whole story arc to conclusion. 🫀
